Designed using traditional German/Russian, deep-math acoustic modeling and using a new compound membrane, housing and mounting, these 1" capsules are the true work-horse of the new line. Depth and smoothness of smaller capsules, yet a 'big" solo sound that makes any instrument immediately "important" this is a whole new generation of the well-known European 1" format.
Taylor says: "We REALLY went to town on this capsule. I love the traditional (double- membrane) European 1" cardioid sound for both mono and stereo tracks. Cristian Hohendahl's new manufacturing techniques created a real "monster" for the studio. Excellent on just about anything and OUTRAGEOUS on many applications, I like using pairs of these on acoustic guitar, piano, drums, percussion - and, believe me, it ROCKS for vocals, as well.
