SDA Audio T.H.E. KR-33A Side Address Capsule

After many years of experimenting with both large-diaphragm tube and FET assemblies, T.H.E. has come up with a marriage that captures the best of both worlds. Another traditional (true-condenser) deep-math German/Russian design, but this time modified for our pre-amp assembly to give that large and "important" traditional 33mm sound while retaining a lot of ambient "capture".
Taylor says:
"My friends know that I have been experimenting with 33mm capsules for years. I couldn't afford the host of classic German large diaphragm mics that I wanted, so we built our own and, I assure you, it is as good as, or better than, the others. You have to hear this to believe it. My first experiments gave me the solo "voicing" that I wanted, but I heard so much of my room that, instead of changing mics ...I built a new studio!"
